Terms of Service

Draft: This document is awaiting final review.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Smartta account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with any part of them, don't use the service.

2. Description of the service

Smartta is an AI personal tutor built on a knowledge graph: for each student and each concept, it composes a lesson tailored to that student's learning style. Some features (AI lesson generation, homework solving, code execution) are limited by your subscription plan or credit balance.

3. Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. Registration details must be accurate. Student and parent accounts can be linked via an invite code; that link is only established once both sides accept it.

4. Payment and subscriptions

Smartta plans are sold on a monthly basis, and payments are processed via the Zarinpal gateway in Iranian Toman. Cancellation and refund details are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the service for anything unlawful, for harassment, or to attempt unauthorized access to other users' data or systems.

6. Content ownership

Curriculum content, the knowledge graph, and AI-generated material belong to Smartta. Answers and work you submit remain yours; Smartta uses them only to provide and improve the service.

7. Termination

Smartta may limit or suspend account access if these Terms are violated. You may stop using the service, or cancel your subscription, at any time.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." Smartta isn't liable for indirect damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

9. Classes and school accounts

Teacher accounts are created by a school; nobody can register themselves as a teacher. In Smartta a teacher is an observer of learning, not a supplier of content: lessons are still composed by the AI, and concepts, resources and questions by the content team. An active class membership is the only thing that grants a teacher access — the "teacher" role alone grants access to no student's data. What a teacher can see is listed under "School-linked accounts" in the Privacy Policy. Leaving a class is always the student's own choice.

10. Changes to these terms

These Terms may be updated over time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
